Timber Finishes
Hardwood timber finishes for cladding, decking, posts, beams, flooring, joinery and feature timber projects.
Hardwood Timbers NZ supplies timber in a range of surface finishes depending on the species, application and desired look. From rustic recycled texture through to clean dressed hardwood, the right finish can change both the appearance and performance of the timber.
Finish options are selected to suit the project, whether the timber is being used externally, internally, structurally or as a feature detail.
Rustic Recycled
Recycled hardwood in its original rustic form, retaining the weathered surface, bolt holes and aged character from its previous use.
This finish is suited to exterior feature applications such as landscaping, posts, beams, seating, bollards and other heavy-duty timber details.
Available on recycled hardwood timber only.
Dressed Smooth
A clean, smooth finish that highlights the natural grain, colour and variation of the hardwood.
Ideal for flooring, joinery, decking, cladding, bench tops and interior feature applications. Available in recycled and sustainably sourced new timber.
Sandblasted or Wire Brushed
A rustic yet refined finish that removes loose fibres while retaining the aged texture and character of recycled hardwood.
Ideal for stair treads, posts, beams and interior feature applications. Available on recycled hardwood timber only.
Natural Grey Weathered
A naturally weathered silver-grey finish developed over time through exposure to the elements.
This finish gives recycled and reclaimed hardwood a softened, aged appearance with natural variation in colour, grain and surface texture.
Available in recycled and reclaimed hardwood timber.
Unique Joinery Timber
Hardwood timber supplied to dimension for joinery, bench tops, shelving and custom feature pieces.
This Blackbutt Tiger grain bridge deck timber offers strong natural movement, colour variation and character for one-off interior details.
