IRONCLAD is our premium architectural hardwood cladding range, manufactured from extremely durable Australian Class 1 hardwood species. Designed for modern residential and commercial projects, IRONCLAD combines exterior performance with natural timber character.

Built for Exterior Performance

Vertical shiplap
Horizontal shiplap
Bevel back

Profiles can be selected depending on whether the project requires a clean architectural finish, a traditional weatherboard look, or a more textured rustic appearance.
Standard Sizes
Standard cladding sizes:
115 x 19mm or 21mm
165 x 19mm or 21mm available on request
Final sizes may depend on species, profile, finish and project requirements.
Coating
IRONCLAD is factory-coated with Cutek® Extreme CD50 clear, helping protect the timber while allowing the natural colour and grain of the hardwood to remain visible.
Over time, hardwood cladding may be maintained with oil or allowed to weather naturally, depending on the desired appearance and maintenance approach.
Natural Weathering
IRONCLAD hardwood cladding can be left to weather naturally to a soft silver-grey finish. This natural colour change affects appearance only and does not reduce the durability of the timber.
If the weathered look is desired, no ongoing oiling or coating maintenance is required. To retain more of the original timber colour, the cladding will need to be maintained over time with a suitable oil or coating system.
Designed for exposed New Zealand conditions, IRONCLAD offers a durable, low-maintenance cladding option for coastal, rural, residential and architectural projects.
