Growing up in rural South Canterbury the natural environment was a huge part of my upbringing, I have fond memories of spending days with friends swimming in the rivers and camping at the Mckenzie High Country Lakes. Unfortunately some of our natural environment has been mistreated with some of those same rivers now unsafe to swim in.

In response to this and other factors I formed my ethos around my lifestyle and business to minimise the impact of my activities. Living off grid on our rural property for the past eight years we have planted thousands of trees to sequester as much carbon as possible. I take great pride in passing this way of living on to my children in hopes of making a small effort towards the effects of climate change.
